Hit & Run Traffic Collision of Ruth Duarte

On 05-18-15 at approximately 8:11 pm, Ruth Duarte, was crossing n/b across Florence Av at La Salle Av in a marked crosswalk. She was struck by 2010 Audi Q7 vehicle which was travelling n/b on Florence Av. The driver and passenger of the Audi vehicle immediately stopped to render aid to Duarte. While they were rendering aid, another vehicle (medium to dark colored, possible SUV) also travelling n/b Florence Av collided with Duarte as she lay on the pavement. This vehicle fled the scene without rendering aid.

The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting assistance from the community in identifying the person or persons responsible for this vehicular manslaughter. If you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Los Angeles Police Department immediately.
